Recently, there are no teams that are interested in adding All Star Carmelo Anthony in their roster. Even the USA Basketball Camp did not consider inviting Carmelo Anthony even though many superstars are backing out from their invitation.
All the neglections and ignoring him, this is not what Melo deserves. Melo is a 10 time NBA All star, and the 2013 NBA scoring champion. He was a gold medalist three times in the Olympic Games. He averages 24 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3 assists in his whole career. In his 17 seasons in the NBA, he is 44.9% from the field, shot 34.7% from beyond the arc and 81.1% from the free throw line.
We all know that his percentage and stats drops as he is already way pass in his prime. Most teams are still doubting if Melocan still play. Well, if given the chance, Melo may not be as aggressive as he was but he can still play. Melo can still be a threat from beyond the arc as a spot up shooter or perhaps even more, he can be threat offensively.
Still, Melo does not deserve all this. He is a future Hall of Famer and should be treated like one. Melo wants to play one last season before he retires. I agree with Lillard on Melo having a farewell tour like Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade. I just hope that Melo will be playing next season, have his farewell tour and witness him splashing from the outside.
He was gone in the basketball scene for a while and I wonder whether teams would still recruit him. Hope he could play again the way he used to before.
Hopefully. He was once considered as one of the best scorers during his prime and he was unstoppable
