Michael Jordan has been considered the best player to ever play the sport of basketball and has been named the Greatest of All Time. During his active days in the NBA, he made every game to be very interesting that leads him to his popularity. His moves are so smooth and his athletic abilities are very exceptional. Michael Jordan has been nicknamed Air Jordan because of his hang time in the air that looks like he is walking on air.
Michael Jordan has won six champions with the Chicago Bulls and and has earned Finals MVP six times. He won 5 MVPs in the regular season and he was the scoring leader 10 times. Many of his moves are being copied by many NBA players and that includes Kobe Bryant who has been considered a reflected image of Jordan.
And here comes Lebron James who has risen and carved his name in the debate of being the GOAT. Lebron James has been catching up to the NBA greats. And James is still continuing to catch up until he retires.
James is a 3 time NBA champion, 2 with Miami and 1 with Cleveland, and had been the Finals MVP 3 times. James won 4 MVPs on the regular season. James's moves differs from Jordan. James is like an unstoppable force when his drives to the basket. With his large body and great athleticism, guarding him would be difficult even if how great a defender is.
In terms of achievements, so far Jordan has the upper hand to be the greatest player. His 6 championships can beat Lebrons' 3 championships. But in terms of career stats, James has surpassed Jordan in every offensive arsenal. Both players had been great in the careers. They are both unstoppable during their primes. In every game, they both show their passion in the sport.
Still, the debate of being the GOAT has not been answered. Many sports analyst has been claiming their own opinions. For me, to choose who is the Greatest player depends on how you define greatness. Some say Jordan is greatest because of his achievements, others say Lebron is greatest because of his remarkable stats. And for me, well, I say Kobe is the greatest for his incredible work ethic and discipline and most especially his mentality when playing basketball. See, it all depends on how greatness is defined.
Hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment the name of the player who you considered to be the GOAT in the NBA.
The title of this article really caught my attention. Sometimes, the best is the one with the smaller amount of score. We should not look at the WINS! Let's consider their manpower and the team collaboration!
That's right sir. The outcome is not always the basis. It all depends on a person's point of view
You best add MJ's college championship as well.
If you'd ever seen both play live and "in era," you would not even question that His Airness is the best. His competitiveness will never be matched.
