Alvaro Morata has been seemingly loud these days and more so he's been seen speaking to the media about his time at Chelsea and three days ago was the first time I've heard him speaking to the media for the umpteenth time about Chelsea. In all fairness I'm seeing a young man who has refused to move on after a disastrous stinct at Chelsea. Morata came to Chelsea with all the glamour and a whole lot of expectations were placed on him, Chelsea had just lost of of the most lethal striker the EPL will ever know in Diego Costa and of course the psyche at Stamford bridge was still very expectant and considering the fact that Alvaro Morata was coming in from Madrid and having done well in his loan stint at Juventus, he was considered a decent player who could at least score 20 goals per season. Probably it wasn't the best thing to put Morata under pressure, but the truth was that it wasn't Chelsea's choice or fault that the market was so inflated and hence the 60 million pounds transfer fee for Alvaro Morata.
In just under a year of playing at Chelsea, Morata couldn't really muster what it takes to be a striker, obviously he started with scoring headers but just like four or five times he stopped scoring altogether, his hold up play was terrible, his presence as a striker to the opposition team was non existent, his ability to hold his own while taking on a defender was poor, infact the number of times be fell down on the pitch under a challenge was something so alarming I felt at first that it might've been fitness issues but it wasn't, he couldn't play with the midfielders neither could he display his guile and trickery and during a really trying time under Maurizio Sarri he couldn't do well as well as the team performed poorly and it was always a disaster having to watch Morata come onto the Pitch and continually do badly without attempting to improve one it.
However the reason Morata really fell out with the fans are Stamford Bridge wasn't because he wasn't good enough it was because of his selfish attitude, he was always complaining that the world was against him, he threw tantrums like a snotty child and walks away off the field anytime he was substituted. He didn't want to acknowledge the fact that he wasn't performing well because he wasn't putting in enough work he wasn't ready to fight for his place and that's why he obviously ran to Spain where he wouldn't have any competition. Truth was that I felt the transfer of Christian Pulisic might just turn out like Morata's but the truth was that Pulisic fought and fought and there was this determination and hard-work that came with him and that was what Morata totally missed doing and now he's at Spain blaming Chelsea for the woes that befell him.
Morata who's currently at Athletico Madrid has scored 5 goals in 10 appearance for the Spanish outfit won't just stop talking and this time he was quoted as saying "I felt lost at Chelsea and there was a time playing at Chelsea made me lose Faith in my potential" and after surveying his statement I believe he's definitely obsessed with Chelsea, the truth is that as flawed ad Tammy Abraham might be to me, he's a more refined striker than Morata and the stats proves this. Morata in my opinion might never play in the top flight biggest clubs in the world, for example if Athletico Madrid decides to offload him, I'm sure he won't go for more than 20 million pounds and wouldn't see clubs like Manchester United, PSG or even the club who rejected him willing to take opt for his transfer. In truth Morata might need to grow up in other to really mature, o don't doubt his abilities but I think he may never really mature. His antics on the media is childish and with this way he might not really reach a peak in his career. He's currently 27 I guess and be hasn't made any huge impact at any club and I don't think he might anytime soon.
Alavaro Morata done an important step when he left real in the first time for juventus but his first mistake began when he came back to real, even it was just for a season after ,he should't come back there,it could be better if he would continue to get better in juventus and not as a 'second violin' of Benzema.
