Liverpool's defeat to Napoli in their Champions League group opener on Tuesday, is infact a good omen says Carlos Ancelotti who was quick to reassure Jurgen Klopp.
This is the second year that Klopp's men had been defeated in Naples, the Serie A side having claimed a 1-0 win last season.
The Napoli boss, Ancelloti had a good laugh with his Liverpool counterpart after the Serie A side's 2-0 win over the Reds on Tuesday. While Liverpool had their struggles last season, it did not stop them from lifting Europe's top trophy at the end.
I told him not to worry, because if he loses here, he tends to go on and win the Champions League," Ancelotti told Sky Sports Italia. "I reassured him!”
Napoli have so far won five out of six matches at home against Premier League sides in the Champions League, while for Klopp, the losses have continued and he has now lost in his last five trips to Italy across all competitions.
