Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino is a world class manager who have done so well for Tottenham but will they be able to keep him for much longer?
Reports have it that the embattled Manchester United are ready to secure the services of the Argentine boss, Pochettino and that would mean coughing out about £32million.
Last season, the Red Devils struggled under the management of Jose Mourinho and this warranted a replacement. Club legend Ole Gunner Solskjaer was hired in his stead. But Man Utd has not thrived under him either despite spending a lot of cash to hire the likes of Harry McGuire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the last summer transfer window. Infact Man Utd is already out of the title race.
But if things continue the way they are without any swift improvement, then Solskjaer would be shown the way out and Pochettino, would be a quality man to replace him.
Last season, without securing any major signing, the former Southampton manager, who earns (The Sun) £8.5m-a-year (£163,000-a-week), led Tottenham to their first Champions League final.
Under Pochettino’s guidance, the north Londoners have regularly qualified for the Europe’s elite competition and Man Utd need someone like him at the helm.
Patience is needed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to rebuild things around. He should be given the opportunity.
I think Solskjaer might be shown the exit door soon. Things have gone awry.
Will the medicine for the ailing Man Utd be Pochettino? Let's wait and see.
Maybe Pochettino might be able to turn things around here. A lot of bad decisions and injuries has become the bane of Man Utd.
