I want to update everyone that an issue has been found within the SPORTS SCOT. It seems there was an early distribution of tokens that was not supposed to occur. This has been reported to the Steem Engine team and they are looking into the situation.
In the mean time I recommend that no one place any market orders for SPORTS. I don't know what has caused these issues or what will need to be done to resolve this situation so until more is known I recommend avoiding the market entirely.
I will report more details as soon as I hear them.
Oh, that is bad. Hope it is corrected soon
What happened?
I buyed more than 100 sports coin on steem-engine yesterday, but now.........?
I like sports,I like your project.
My heart is broken.
Can you do something for this?
sorry to hear the issues, and we do hope on Steem, we can build an awesome sports community!!!
I believe this will be an important lesson for the team to learn to grow faster.
I think the immediate fix is straightforward:
(1) @sportstalksocial team should stake a significant amount of SPORTS to get control of the power in the community. otherwise the wild fire will grow and may hurt more people.
(2) work closely with steem-engine team to stop showing and rewarding the posts that are created before the launch date of SportsTalk.Social.
These measures will control the speculation immediately, but you need more measures to make the healthy growth of SPORTS possible, and figure out how to communicate with the communities in a clear way.
If you think there're more we can do to help you guys, feel free to let us know.
I don't know.
My account has depreciated 120steem for me yesterday's trading, just by the steen-engine's stupid bug.
Anybody can help me?
@patrickulrich
Definitely the founders' team should be aware of the issues and figure out how to make complements for those who lost in the past two days. But I think @sportstalksocial team may have to fix their immediate issues right away, and then turn around to those who suffered from the issues.
Let's follow up with the plan from the team, and get the voice heard. :)
I just checked your account, and you also already had a payout... So you must have edited the sportstalk tag too? I also found the account of @ah-2002 getting a payout yesterday... Which appeared to be from curation.
So you are here talking about measures that need to be taken and all other things, but you actually did the same abuse that got this place in this mess...
No. I didn't do anything for abuse.
I don't know why the founders are sending tokens to some users, but I purchased some SPORTS yesterday from the market, and then I got curation rewards after voting others' posts. The situation might be similar to what you have known from @ah-2002.
I know, that's why I think it's doomed, some got curation, others got insane rewards, and the rest is now stuck...
Sorry, I made assumptions I shouldn't have!
Hmm

No i did not, you can check my blog for the posts. I have no payout from the posts. I staked when i first time used sports. By the way that payout is not an abuse. It is Curation awards from I don't know different post which i voted. You can totally check my blog for that. @pele23

Ok, I get it, it was curation... Sorry for that! I will edit the post. This should be done from scratch again to get this straight!
Token distribution totally broken.
I guess without relaunch whole community nobody can fix it.
Thanks for the heads up brother. Hope all gets solved. I love the idea of having our own sports site. Regards!
Apparently they edited tags from 6 day old posts to get an early claim on the tokens. Some people are just out for themselves and should be cut from the system.
I wonder is there a list of the accounts that exploited the system. I'm sure that you and the steem-engine team will come up with a solution to redress the balance and cut out these people but it would be nice to know who the scum are going forward. It's accounts like these which have been holding STEEM back form moving forward as they try to cheat the community at every turn.
I think some people edited in the sportstalk tag onto posts near payout to get the first distributions.

I'm seeing the same thing. I see that @followjohngalt and @dune69 each received post payouts and have reported this to @aggroed and the Steem Engine team. Still looking for options on how best to proceed and will continue to report back.
Yeah, once the cat is out of the bag, its hard to get it back in. I was looking forward to getting the third post-payout ever, but some people found a loophole. Good luck with it all.
I went and downvoted a post from each of the 4 accounts responsible. Not that it changed much. Now, lets wait for the retaliation.
Honestly I think this just means better distribution model is needed if you do conduct a relaunch. And may I again encourage miner token adoption to attract long term investors who can fund the ability to implement sinks that can actually give this token value! Promising opportunity, would hate to see the long term future jeopardized on the part of planning a poor initial launch.

for this issue:
Sorry to hear this happened to you and your new project - I hope some sort of solution comes forward and these scammers don't get a dime :-/ Best thing to do (which sucks) might be (if steem-engine team can't help out!) to buy up all the tokens and distribute them amongst 'good content creators' that use the platform as intended.
Lots of luck to you!
My first SportsTalkSocial Post upvote is 1,800+ SPORTS. It's just been 2 days. And now my post reward is 20 SPORTS. Can't imagine what reward value would be after 7 days.
I see that. Weird. Someone launched heavy self-upvoting?
Your team has to stake more SPORTS, otherwise all people who has staked the SPORTS will have huge upvote values.
Early? What was real plan about distribution?
The plan was that tokens would be distributed following the rules outlined in SCOTBOT settings as shown in the initial token creation post. These users that changed their posts have now received large distributions multiple days before actual payouts are due to be distributed thus giving them unfair influence over the SPORTS tribe.
This was not good for the project .
hope it will be verified
The premine model wasn't that great...
Maybe sportstalk should of been designed like palnet more?
Oops! Just seeing this! Thanks for keeping us posted!
