I keep seeing this kind of prediction and I always wonder if it can ever be possible. However, many have predicted that we are soon going to start seeing sports men being paid their salaries through blockchain

Considering the volatility of Bitcoin, it think will be pretty hard for any player to accept being paid their salary in cryptocurrency due to the volatile nature of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a currency that is just too volatile for a player or club to transaction a deal of million of Dollars, especially when it has to do with a long term contract.

Take for example, a Bitcoin contact worth over $1M this year could be worth far lesser than $500k next year and nice versa, so why would any player want to commit themselves to that kind of uncertainty?

Mind you, I'm not saying it's not possible for cryptocurrency that we will start seeing this form of payment in signing football players but I don't think it's possible at the moment until cryptocurrency becomes very stable and this many take more than a decade

What do you guys think?

It depends, what if they sell off immediately they receive their payment.

Regardless what the sector is, crypto is a good for of payment

That would be really hard today. May be in the future.

Very possible, it works in like manner as vendors who accept crypto for their services or operations. It's going to me more of an instant transaction

I doubt if they'll accept it. What if the price falls immediately after receiving payment?
