The board dismissed Multan Sultans without showing dollars. The PCB secured all rights to the team while terminating the contract with Multan Sultans last year; the owner of the franchise could not pay the company contract. It was, on the other hand, designated the "small team", the board selected the players for the franchise in the draft held in Islamabad, then the tenders for the sale started, PCB franchised the bid. The base price was set at $ 52 million annually. Ali Tareen, son of PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, received $ 6.35 million in December last year.
