Ladies and Gentlemen,
We officially live in the upside-down, a world in which the Rams are one of the NFL's best teams. But even with the remarkable turn around the Rams have made since last year (when Goff was simply Gawful), they proved last week that even slightly above average defenses can cause them offensive trouble. Sure they lit up the lowly Giants and underperforming Texans, but Minnesota caused them major problems. The Saints have performed above the league average in defense this year, and I see them creating headaches for a Rams team that will be missing its best-performing receiver, Robert Woods.
The Saints on the other hand have too many weapons to be kept out of the end zone, regardless of the defense they are up against. Ingram and Kamara are the best RB tandem in the league this year, presenting a 1-2 punch no defense has been able to solve since week 2. Add in the fact that Brees has seen it all and is unflappable at this stage of his career, and its tough for me to understand how the Saints are getting points, even on the road.
Pick: Saints +2.5
