Spread The Vibes - challenge not challenge

in #spreadthevibes3 years ago (edited)

Nice to be back after a long time... how long exactly, I have realized after logging in and saw that my last post was almost 3 months ago :O

Due to never-ending horror at work, joined later by family corona drama (still ongoing), not that I did not have time in a physical sense but was mentally away, being just in two modes - action/struggle /stress / action / action, solving problems and relaxing in the garden; at least, I have gathered some photos to brag in the future posts ;P

But for the beginning, finally responding to not challenge :)
sorry @mipiano, seems that I won ;/

No time limitation to make you response, if you feel the call. However, try not to take my example and let time win :)

Challenge post that I am responding to is here.

@beesparkle: I don't know you well, but maybe it is the time to change it? I am sure this musical piece I play here can connect with you in some way.

Yes... it fit into my mood some time ago, was a bit in panic, anxiety, restlessness, anger... when experienced great deal of abuse by my (fortunately, now ex) boss. But I got myself together and took some legal actions, which were not very fast but at the end people who are in charge of following her behavior realized what happened and gave me support.

And just when I thought I can have some piece of mind, corona stroke my family - brother, mother, pregnant sister-in-law and father; the latter two are still in the hospital :(

So, the classical music that I am choosing is a bit lament over the fortune, in the most famous part - O Fortuna :)
Beside that now is a good fit to the story, Carmina Burana is one of my favorite classical peaces, listened it so many times that I can lalalala melody almost correctly (while it plays in the background ofc lol) :D

Though many versions can be found online, I have chosen this one because it was filmed in Belgrade.

Dear readers, enjoy Carmina Burana <3 ... or at least six and a half first minuts with Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi

I am inviting @vikisecrets, @edje, @zuerich, @stayoutoftherz, @invazijaleptira, @riverflows, @andrastia and everyone else who feels like sharing his/her thoughts on given music and spread some favorite vibes :)

Sort:

I love that piece. This is a nice version.
Sometimes I feel like this:

Samuel Barber 💙

Tnx, you just made my time before sleep: outside is dark and quiet,I am listening the music and stargazing :)

What a surprise @beesparkle !!!

sorry @mipiano, seems that I won ;/

Hahaha, yeah, you won, congratulations :)))) But that is great you followed up, I am so grateful to you that you are spreading the vibes :) Thank you from that small but very important "beating organ" in our chest 💚

Sorry to hear about the abuse by your ex boss. Yeah, we should never let those things happen, but sometimes there is the feeling of being trapped and anxiety comes. And it is almost never happening as you do your work wrong, usually reverse. Sometimes, even if you are doing super , envious people want to take on charge. Well, good you solved it through legal channels.

Sorry as well to hear for your family, hope they get well soon.

Wow, Carmina Burana! How great response. When in high school, we performed the whole piece; that was for the final concert of the orchestra and choir of one of the years. We had to learn all the lyrics by heart. All people around me knew the lyrics as well, as I was singing it also in my free time 🤣 Better said, learning, learning and more learning. Then the rehearsals came, shouting from the nervous director, hours of standing , singing and practising. And more of it :D
And the concert day came too. Emotions, everyone giving the best, worn throat after the singing, and happiness!!!

Thank you for reminding me of Carl Orff and Carmina Burana! 🙌

Tnx for the support.
Woow whole latin txt for a high school performance, quite a lot; I can only imagine how hard that was, comparing it with my struggle to learn Hebrew chorus for school performance - teacher dictated us pronunciation of words so we were learning Hebrew according to Vuk :D Still remember first few lines :D
Despite all the troubles, feeling of success and happiness is the best reward :)

Yeah, I think in the end we were learning it by Vuk too 🤣 desperate choir director :D

Beautiful flower, I hope everything is ok now! Here is my song for good vibes, I hope you like it :)

I do :) Reminds me of Marley.s Three little birds :)

Was just listening to this song, Doomsday version:

The theme was classical music but maybe this can slide as classical goth ;D
Now roll up your sleeves and make a real post about some classical piece :)

Wow Carmina Burana brings back childhood memories of watching King Arthur movies. Such a powerful song. It was really quite surreal listening to that now.

Thanks @beesparkle for sharing this, it was quite a walk down memory lane for me.

Around the same era I also loved this one

I went to watch this at the real theatre when I was about 6 or 7 years old. What an experience for a kid!

Nice piece also!
Fun how sometimes, as a kids, we were exposed to art that not really able to understand. But it is interesting remembering our reactions to that now, when we are fully aware of messages sent by creators of that art. At high school we went few times to watch Shakespeare.s plays at the theater and omg, just waited for the pause to flee :D

Lol yes, we were little shits weren't we? Never knew a good thing when it hit us hahaha

Oh I'm so sorry that your family are sick and you are having a tough time!!! Stay safe and I hope flowers and music give you strength in this tricky time!!

Tnx, they do, gardens are amazing, there are many life forms in them (if it is purely organic); at the same time, they are reminder of true nature of life, in order for a caterpillar to survive some plant must die, in order for a bird to survive caterpillar must die...

I love "O Fortuna" and heard it quite often in the early phase of the lockdown in March 2020. I find it very expressive.
