Hello fellow Steemians, it's @maxinpower today.
Spring has finally set here in Steem City Niigata and the maybe most beautiful season of the year, SAKURA TIME. The last couple of weeks we were lucky to enjoy the bloom of the cherry trees which morph the whole country into some white and pinkish sea of blossoms.
It usually lasts only for a week or two before the petals start falling down. Wind and rain too, aren't the best partners of this fragile beauty, unfortunately this season started off with quite some rainy days. Lately the weather recovered a bit and the days got finally a bit warmer, but the season is drawing to a close.
There are lots of different types of Sakura, in our city the most popular and common type blooms in the first half of April and is down, but we got another helping of some late blooming ones. Those vary in form and shape and even in color and make the whole play even more delightful.
Right now is the time for Yaezakura. This pink explosion is a spectacle for itself, and like another quarter in a football game. The same game, just different players. I'm glad this weekend is sunny so we could get out and dive into this amazing show.
They might bloom until the end of the month, and even it feels like the end of something irretrievable there is no reason to put our heads down. It is getting greener now everywhere and the days are longer too, so mother nature is going to provide us with a lot more quality time.
