I grew up in the Philippines, where we only have two seasons, summer, and rainy. So moving here to Germany really blew my mind, especially when I saw snowflakes for the first time. It was so magical seeing it in person, since I only saw it on television. However, after weeks of snow, it gets depressing, because it‘s cold and gloomy all the time. But now the dark winter days are finally over because it‘s officially spring in Germany.
Spring is such a beautiful season. The weather is neither too warm nor too cold. The flowers are blooming, trees are sprouting new leaves, and birds are chirping. It brings joy, motivation, and positivity all around.
Last week I went to Obersee Park and had a picnic. I brought a book, my pencils, a drawing book, and snacks. It was such a lovely day, watching the children play, dogs playing fetch with their hooman, couples cuddling, and swans enjoying the sunny spring day -- inspired me to draw these peonies.
