Chelsea has successfully ended their win drought against Newcastle at the St James Park since 2011. The blues hasn’t come out victorious from the Newcastle home ground since December 30th 2011 when Chelsea came out victorious winning Newcastle 3-0.
Chelsea got the whole three point at the St James Park stadium almost seven years after their last victory at the stadium, although the victory came narrowly but it was a well deserve victory for the Blues.

Chelsea has joined Liverpool at the top of the English Premier League table with the victory over Newcastle. Chelsea won their first two matches against Huddersfield and Arsenal Fc.

The match was a very difficult task for Chelsea, no goal was recorded throughout the first seventy five minutes of the match despite the fact that the visitors were in control of the match.
In the 76th minutes, Eden Hazard put Chelsea in front after converting from the spot kick but the lead didn’t stand long as Joselu gave Newcastle an equalizer just six minutes after Hazard goal.

It looked like it was going to end with a draw but a goal would have changed it all. Unfortunately for Newcastle they gave Chelsea the winning goal in the 87th minutes of the match. Newcastle De Andre Yedlin scored an own goal to put Chelsea ahead again and this time they didn’t allow the victory slip away.

Chelsea will take on AFC Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge in the next league match.
