The UEFA men's award final three has been revealed by the Uefa body. Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Luka Modric made the final three for the award which the winner will be announced on the 30th of August 2018.
The holder of the Award, Cristiano Ronaldo made it among the top three for the award. Ronaldo has shown to the World that he is indeed the best player in the world. The former Madrid forward who is now playing with Juventus in the Italian serie A won his fourth Champions League title with Real Madrid in the 2017/18 season.
Apart from winning the Cup once and thrice consecutively, Ronaldo also emerged as tournament highest goal scorer with fifteen goals at the 2017/18 season. The striker impact in the team success in the Champions League can't be overlooked. Since the introduction of this award in 2011,Ronaldo is the only player that has made the shortlist every year and I believe he has the highest chances of winning the award again.
Another fantastic player that ended top three has been my star for a long time now but his success at the World cup 2018 in Russia increased my passion for his style. He is definitely one of the best midfielder in the world.
Luka Modric was part of the Real Madrid squad that won the UEFA Champions League 2017/18 season. The Croatian played a vital role in Real Madrid midfield throughout the tournament. Modric captained Croatia at the World cup and lead them to finishing second.
In addition to the World cup success, Modric won the Best player at Fifa 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The English Premier League highest goal scorer Mohammed Salah also made the list of the final three. Salah helped Liverpool to the final of the UEFA Champions League in the 2017/18 season. I know many thinks he doesn't worth it with the likes of Griezman, Messi, Mbappe failing to reach the final three but Salah playing for Liverpool in 2017/18 was his debut season and the Egyptian striker scored the total of 44 goals for Liverpool.
The winner will be announced on the 30th of August and we hope to see the three of them prove to the world they deserve to be the final three.
