Ronaldo Toppled as Leading Goal Scorer in the Champions Leaque

Last weekend Serie A matches saw Sampdoria Striker Fabio Quagliarella overtake Cristiano Ronaldo as leading goal scorer in the Serie A this season. This season is Ronaldo’s debut season in Italian football and he led the scoring chart up until this weekend with 19 goals to his name.

Ronaldo was an unused substitute in Juventus weekend game as he was reserved for the Champion league game against Atletico Madrid. Juventus went on to win their match against Udinese despite him and Mario Mandzukic not starting the game.

Thirty six years (36) Fabio Quagliarella overtook 34-year Ronaldo over the weekend as he scored to raise his tally to 20 goal this season, one ahead of Ronaldo. Next in the chart is AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek who is at level with Ronaldo at 19 goals as he also scored over the weekend.
