The red devils have announced the club legend as the one to take over as caretaker coach until the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho has since said his goodbye and his absence had created a vacuum in the club. The club had earlier made the mistake of announcing the former Manchester United legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the new caretaker coach.
The club has now confirmed the Norwegian as the first team caretaker coach. The ex-Manchester United star scored one hundred and twenty six goals in three hundred and sixty-six appearances for the red devils.
Solskjaer will take over till the end of the season pending when the club will conclude her recruitment process to gt a new permanent coach, one that will come from outside the club.
Mike Plean, assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson during his time as coach and Michael Carrick will join the Norwegian to try and get the Old Trafford side back to winning ways.
