PMK Coordinates Review Try Out of Jiu jitsu Sports Branch in Tokyo

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Puan Maharani attended the Indonesian Festival in Tokyo to commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan. On the sidelines of his visit, Puan took the time to review try out Jiu jitsu sport in Gymnasium, Tokyo.

Try Out is done as one of the preparations of the athletes in the face of the 2018 Asian Games. Puan explained, the readiness of athletes, both physical and mental to be one of the most important thing in the arena of the 2018 Asian Games.

"The athlete Jiu jitsu this time is the first representative in the Asian Games 2018 from Indonesia.Therefore, the athletes should be proud and ready to do the best for Indonesia," Puan said in his statement on Sunday (29/07/2018).

Team Jiu jitsu Indonesia has previously attended a training camp on 18-28 July 2018 at TRIFORCE Ikebukuro Shinjuku, Tokyo. Currently, the result of Jiu jitsu team training camp Indonesia is getting matured through try out in Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour, Tokyo.

There are 29 countries that follow jiu jitsu sports in the Asian Games 2018. Athletes who follow the 2018 Asian Games sports games Jiu jitsu from Indonesia there are 16 people, consisting of 12 men and 4 women.

According to Chairman of Team Jiu jitsu Indonesia Laksdya TNI (Ret.) Desi Albert Mamahit, Jiu jitsu Indonesia team targets one gold medal, one silver medal, and two bronzes at Asian Games 2018.
