SPS DAO Project Manager Month 12 Invoicing and Recap
Howdy everyone! This month has been quite busy, but most of the work hasn't been as forward-facing as usual, which is a great reason for these posts to help keep you guys up to date on everything that is being worked on! Let's get into it:
There has been a lot of work going on related to establishing the foundation and things are moving along. Legal stuff and bureaucracy takes time though. I can share that the 3 elected representatives and I have met and been in regular contact with the law firm that we're working with to set up the foundation. I'll let you guys know more once we get past the paperwork stage.
We had a DAOn Hall with Matt and cryptomancer related to the proposal to hire cryptomancer to develop land. I feel like that was a great opportunity to get into a deep dive with the two of them and address many questions from the community. Currently, I'm also setting up a DAOn Hall with PJ to discuss validator development in a couple of days.
I've still been working with the team to help clean up our token distribution and get new APIs created so that we can update our info on the coin tracking sites. As a result, 15,660,239.480 SPS has been moved to @SPS.DAO and 62,640,957.919 SPS has been sent to null. We'll be submitting the update request with the new APIs to the tracking sites shortly.
Along those lines, I have also reached out to two sites that are currently flagging SPS as high risk on pancakeswap to try to resolve those issues. It seems they are flagging us for a centralization risk, which is probably related to the token contract having a mint function. I haven't got a response from either company yet, but I'll keep on trying until I figure out what they need from us.
Royaleagle and I worked together to create some guidelines for whitelisting community tournament creators so that we could empower community reps to create and market the game with Ghost Card tournaments. Those are now in affect and I'll be monitoring the results to see how that goes.
I've been focusing much more on trying to grow the DAO X account and ended up buying us a premium subscription to help boost its reach. You can read an article I wrote about Web3 gaming for the account here. Any help in sharing it is appreciated!
After the previous DAOn Hall with Double Coconut, I did some polling and relayed my findings with their team. As a result SPS staking will be added to Soul Keep this week. Hopefully that will put everyone's minds to rest on the subject for a bit and if there are still a lot of concerns then we can revisit the issue in a couple of months.
I feel like it's about time to review the DAO Sponsored proposal guidelines and I plan to update those next month. I'm also working with the team to try to get SPS stake-weighted polling integrated into the site in some useful way to help us boost engagement and our ability to gather feedback.
As always, thanks for taking the time to check out this post and I hope you'll join us for the DAOn Hall on Friday to get an update on Validator Node development with PJ! You can set a reminder here. I appreciate your time and consideration and until next time...
