SPS DAO Project Manager Month 16 Invoicing and Recap
Greetings my fellow Splinterlandites. It's been a very busy month and I have a feeling March and April are also going to be quite intense as we lead up to Conclave Arcana release. While we're all very busy, it's nice to start seeing some of the projects come to life and move forward. Today I'll briefly share what I've been working on and some status updates.
I've been getting much more involved with Conclave Arcana design and testing to help ensure that the DAO is getting the best set possible. This means I've been having to go to more meetings and spend time on testing the cards and helping to balance them. Good news is I feel like the set keeps getting better every week and I'm personally very optimistic that this is going to be a very high quality and polished set by the time it comes out. We should be moving into testing with the DAO group in March.
This month we really redoubled our efforts to get the foundation set up pronto. Over the last two months I've met with somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen different law firms in different regions and spent time digging into and meeting with even more payment processors. The good news is, I'm happy to announce that we've finally found a firm to move forward with and paid them to set up our Foundation. We managed to get the price down to $1,350 too!
As is probably obvious from the previous paragraph and current proposal, all of the work that went into finding a U.S. facing payment processor finally bore fruit. As soon as the Foundation set up is completed, which will likely be in the next week, we'll be moving forward with setting up a contract with Ramp Network to allow for fiat purchases (and selling in many places) of SPS! (Assuming no dealbreakers come up.)
I almost forgot to mention that we also had a Validator Network go live. Quite a bit of time has been spent working with JPTR to get that ready for launch and spec out additional functionality for the DAO. I'm hoping that we'll be able to get DAO owned and operated bridges in the near future. Then we can choose to either have the DAO earn (instead of terablock) for bridging or have the DAO burn some small amount for every bridging transaction. Basically I'd like the DAO to keep that value in the ecosystem instead of giving it to a third party.
As always there's more, most of which is just the routine stuff, but I think I've hit all the big highlights for this month. I need to get back to work now actually! There's just so much going on getting ready for the marketing push and Conclave Arcana release. Thanks for the opportunity to keep working for the DAO and until next time...
P.S. I'll be taking one week of my two weeks vacation time from April 7th to April 14th.
