RE: Proposal to Add Liquidity Pool Rewards for Arcade Colony & Genesis League Sports Pairs with Splinterlands

in #spsproposal8 months ago

his is clearly not an even trade for the Splinterlands community, 10 million SPS is worth MUCH more than 5mil COLONY + 5mil GLX

This can be upto debate on how much rewards should be allocated.

From my understanding, the rewards for SPS stakeholders is because the GLX project (and thus by extension the AC project) used some resources from Splinterlands to build, and the rewards is a means of reimbursement to the Splinterlands community

Teams are now purely separate as invennium is now a separate entity fully owned by splinterlands.

The AC/GLX games are basically just the Splinterlands community anyway, Splinterlands cannot gain new community members from AC/GLX thus there is no reason to reward SPS at this stage

In short term yes, but as more games are onboarded onto these platforms they could serve well for splinterlands ecosystem.

This proposal gives more utility to GLX/AC ecosystem tokens while increasing SPS inflation, so overall a net gain for GLX/AC and net loss for SPS

To your first point amount can be updated to a feasible number. Also deacresing inflation doesn;t always result in price appreciation but it's the product demand which need to grow. Right now the demand for SPS is at full peak because of no new money/users coming in. That might not be the case in future.

The pools benefit both ecosystems equally as the pairs are 50:50. It's upto debate how much should be the SPS amount allocated. These pools already locked DEC and SPS, and are also serving for users who want to participate in both projects with long horizon.

Thank you for the your feedback and suggestion. I'm excited on what we are building and let's hope for the best on what these ecosystems can do. We will just have to wait and see.
