Two weeks off for the whole year seems way too little in my opinion, but maybe that's my German point of view, I'd never take a job that comes with less than 30 days vacation. Also having sick time run towards that vacation time seems like a totally crazy concept to me. Guess these are just cultural differences.
Anyway, you have my full support as I don't think there's anybody else in the community that would be able (and willing) to do the job.

Second this sentiment, you have to prioritize your health and well being. I hadn't realized until reading this proposal that you had no? vacation or sick time for the last year?
Like many things, it wasn't clearly defined. I don't even know if I'll make myself use it if we're being honest, but I'd like the option to be there. hard to know what will happen.
Appreciate the support! Honestly man I'm pretty blessed to just be doing something I genuinely enjoy. Sure there's some rough days on occasion, but I usually don't want to take time off lol. I've definitely had some jobs in the past where no amount of vacation was ever enough though. Interesting how different most Euro countries are when it comes to work-life balance than the U.S. work culture.
You guys get days off???
Jesus... in America they expect us to work like dogs... that's crazy you guys "won't take a job with less than 30 days vacation"...
Absolutely mind boggling - but awesome!!
My wife works for BNP Paribas and she has 31 working days off, so if she picks vacation FRI-SAT-SUN-MON-TUE-WED-THU-FRI-SAT-SUN , she goes 10 straight days without working but only substracts 6 from those 31 🤣
Oh, and add local holidays and 3 extra days for "personal matters" as they say here. So basically she skips like 2 months a year...
French doing french stuff... XD
We need to learn how to be like the French again... but y'all got too many vowels in your words 😂!!!
Oui oui!
😁 We are Spanish, tho xDD She just work for them 😜
Its not like that wont take a job with less than 30 days, its by law that you get 4 weeks a year
That's what he said though 🤷♂
I think that's awesome you guys get that by law too!

In the US they tend to label that 'communist/marxist/radical left'. I consider it 'human'. In the US we now basically live under corporate rule. Giving everything red/blue labels works effectively to divide people and distracts from what's really going on. Both red and blue serve their corporate donors first and foremost, they do not serve the people who elected them.
