A quick post of an idea I had. I might have gained some influence from an old book and movie I enjoy. This is just fanfiction @splinterlands lore, none of these ideas are cannon and should not be used for investment advice. But seriously play the game it's awesome.

Splintershards
Splintershards are small crystals originating from Sand Worm larva fungus excretions. The fungal type was created during the "great Splintering itself nearly one thousand years ago." This excretion makes a pre-shard mass that grows into a granular rock called Splintershards. Over time the pre-shard mass mixed with the heat and high pressure of the violent Splintering created the splintershards. The Splintershards growth from fungal to rock transpires slowly over time. The grains ripe for harvesting move to the surface of the sand and are harvested in desolate areas using a massive harvester (aka as a node validator, outside the splinterverse). The Splintershard is granular in size and thousands can be transported in glass vials. The Splintershards power is found in combining the grains to harness the power to "alter the fabric that makes up the world of the Splinterlands."
The sand that grows the Splintershards is dangerous due to the Primordial Sand Worm and attacks any item or individual that causes vibrations in the sand. The harvester requires a spotter to look for "worm sign" and a flying ship to pull the harvester from the sand. These old Sand Worms are not the same Sand Worms summoned to sneak attack your enemy. These are the first Sand Worms that spawn your puny Sand Worm. The Primordial Sand Worm is large enough to consume large harvesters with one bite.

Greetings,
I play the Sandworm so frequently that it goes to fatigue more than 8 times per day.
Pool staking is a great opportunity to stabilize prices inside the Splinterlands economic arena.
Peace
