Introduction
Hello, Namaste, Hola Steemians,
In this week, on social media challenge, I would like to share my idea and strategy about how to beat Lv. 2 Uriel the Purifier. This is the Legendary Monster of Chaos Legion edition. Lv. 2 of this monster has some strong abilities :
| Ability | Explanation |
|---|---|
 | Flying : Has an increased chance (25%) of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. This skill is very useful in earthquake ruleset to avoid 2 damage. |
 | Recharge : This Monster attacks every other round but does 3x damage. |
 | Heal : Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round. Restores 1/3 of the max health, rounded down. Did you know: At lower levels, the Healing ability in the front position can go a long way. |
Uriel The Purifier is mainly used for the tank as his ability to heal itself, just like Kron the Undying, Sea Monster, Flesh Golem, Haunted Spirit, etc.

Mana & Rule Set

 | Spreading Fury : All Monsters get the Enrage ability. Has increased Melee attack and Speed when damaged. Values are multiplied by 1.5 and rounded up. |
 | Close Range : Range units can attack from position 1. Ranged monsters are the new Melee monsters. |

| Shieldbearer | I choose this monster as my tank because it has very high health (9) and 4 armor with 8 mana cost. Another reason is this monster has the Taunt ability which makes all of the opponent monsters attack Shiledbearer first. |
| Cornealus | I am considering Cornealus as my 2nd tank because of Heal ability, high health (12) with 10 mana cost, fair speed (3) and ranged attacker also whether in the 2nd or 1st position because of Close Range Rule Set. |
| Silvershield Knight | This Monster is frequently used in life team because he has the Inspire ability which is increasing the melee teammate attack by 1. He can also take the role as the 3rd tank in case the 1st and 2nd position monsters are falling down. |
| Silvershield Assassin | In high mana where the life splinter is available, I used this card a lot since this card is very deadly. she has high speed (4), sneak ability, total attack : 6 (if there's inspire ability in the team) because of Double strike ability. |
| Feral Spirit | This is one of the most superpower card for life splinter, with only 3 mana cost, this monster is suitable to any mana. It has very high speed (5) and attack (which will be 3 if we set Silvershield Knight). That's why feral spirit is very appropriate monster to be set with other sneak monsters. |
| Silvershield Sheriff | The last monster I put in the back line is Silvershield Assassin because he has high health (8), high ranged attack (3) and high speed as well (3). These stat will withstand the sneak monster attack. |
Match Preview
Opponent Line Up
As we can see right up there, the opponent set the maximum level of each monster he has, along with 100% gold foil 😲, amazing. He set Uriel The Purifier as the tank because he has Heal ability and flying to increase the dodge probability.
Round 1
As we have expected, my super sneak monsters (Feral Spirit and Silvershield Assassin) killed Lone Boatman since he only has 2 armor and 3 health. At this round, my Shieldbearer took lots of damage from high attacking opponent monster. Only 5 health left.
Round 2
My Shieldbearer died and my 2nd tank monster, Cornealus, took place the 1st position. He can attack due to the Close Range ruleset. My super sneak monsters (Feral Spirit and Silvershield Assassin) killed lv3 Sand Worm with their 3 melee attack 3 times.
Round 3
My super sneak monsters (Feral Spirit and Silvershield Assassin) killed another monster again, yeay 😝. Now Cave Slug is the next victim. Not much differences regarding monster line up in this round compared to the previous one.
Round 4
Now looks like opponent is going to win. But that's not true. my Cornealus was killed by Uriel since he activated his recharge effect (12 damage in one attack, 😨,very crazy). My Silvershield Knight took the 1st position to replace Cornealus. in the other side, my Silvershield Sheriff and Feral Spirit was killed also by opponent Silvershield Assassin due to her Spreading Fury rule set. Now 2 vs 3. Can I win this match? Let see~
Round 5
My Silvershield Assassin killed the opponent's Silvershield Assassin because my monster has the divine shield ability and higher armor + health. Now it's 2 vs 2. But in the actual round, it's 2 vs 1, since the opponent's Silvershield Knight could not attack any monster.
Round 6
As we are all can predict, my Silvershield Assassin keep attacking opponent's Silvershield Knight and he can't do anything. Just the matter of time until he dies.
Round 7
And yes, Silvershield Knight is dead, Now it's really 2 vs 1. If my Silvershield Assassin can still withstand the Uriel's attack i could win this game.
Round 8
The Silvershield Kight's armor withstands the Uriel's 3x Melee attack and my tank is still alive. Now the match is over as my Silvershield Assassin can kill Uriel easily with only 2 health.
Opinion about Uriel the Purifier
I am personally thinking that although he can strike 3x of his actual attack, the way he miss the turn in another round is not good. I mean, He could be killed before he can shot his 3x attack. This is the Weaknesses of Uriel, but so far if you have very high mana battle, Uriel is worth to use, just like Grum Flameblade which I will review in my next post.
