Splinterlands: Idea for a SplinterFest

All the talk of the Metaverse and after experiencing HIVEFest via the YouTube replays, I got to thinking of how great it would be if a virtual SplinterFest can be done but not just to finally do one, but to explore the lands expansion! The development team have said multiple times on the Town Halls that they would eventually do meetups and a fest for the community but I think this represents a unique opportunity. Like other virtual events, experiences can be built using the Unity Software platform pretty quickly and efficiently.

Imagine developing an experience of the amazing art of Splinterlands in a virtual settings as the mechanics of the land expansion are explained. It could be a great way to demonstrate all the aspects of the land like resources and working the land. In addition, they have mentioned buildings and totems which can be shown in a virtual setting. Marketplaces can be shown with the items and spells interfaces but with the great art I imagine will come with it. Even looking at plots, tracts, and regions individually would be fun considering all the thoughts behind lands.

I rarely put out ideas as I often think they are not very interesting but given the interest and passion of the Splinterlands community during the eye candy often shared on Town Halls, I thought this would be an opportunity to do so for an idea that would surely interest me. Land will quickly become the most anticipated expansion of the game given how it will transform the ecosystem so what better way to launch than a virtual walkthrough! Either way, looking forward to the lands expansion!
