Not gonna lie dude, I'm a little disappointed I was DQ'd for 3.71 SP. I get it, just seems shitty. My fault for not noticing I guess, but damn dude.

I am sorry about the confusion @oblivioncubed Believe me I struggled with this for a bit because I felt the same way But after pondering it for a bit(since I was going to originally let it slide and add you to the qualifier's list), I had to be fair to the rest of the participants, especially since this would be public (as all things blockchain are or are supposed to be).
I do accept responsibility for the mistake in the example, so I am sorry for the confusion and disappointment it has caused.
I did post a few times prior to this #spud about the Rule changes, I just didn't notice that example. I will amend that for the next round. The Rules, and the changes have come about as the SPUD prizes have grown. With the recent increase in Steem Power Delegation prizes, I have to keep it interesting for those wishing to participate, but yet make it so that it isn't too easy for others to game the rules (what some might call cheating or unfair practices).
@lacking mentioned this situation to me as well and feels bad as well since I believe he mentioned this initiative to you. Again, I am sorry for the confusion and disappointment. Hopefully this doesn't sour your future #spud participation, especially since I believe the prizes might grow again with sponsorship inquiries already coming in.
Well, back to the list and the updates. Take care.
I understand your position, and no disrespect, but there's zero chance I'll participate in the future. I happened to luck into a scenario where I had double my SP in Steem, which would have put me decently high in the running - but that was an anomaly, and there's no chance I'll get to a point where I'm even at an equal 1:1 Steem -> SP value again, let alone a 2:1.
It's not easy to get any attention on here as a small-fry, particularly when my areas of interest are fairly niche and seems to earn ~0.10 a post, so by the time you're hosting the next few I'll maybe have 1/5th my current steem, and there's no point entering contests that there is 0 chance of winning IMO.
Again, I understand your position. I mean no disrespect. It didn't work out and that's okay. I wish you the best, but I will not be in a place any time soon to even consider Spud.
Hey @oblivioncubed Sorry you feel that way and feel worse knowing that it was #spud that seems to have further soured your view of Steem. I see you this account is new, and so maybe you are new to crypto and to Steem.
Steem is still a small network when you think in terms of Facebook or Instagram, but given enough time and participation your account will grow. The battle lies in whether you can be persistent enough and willing to interact with others here on Steem enough to make your account grow or not. I do see that you have had a few decent rewards on some of your posts, so there is potential but it doesn't come easy.
As for #spud, it is free, doesn't require steem power other than up votes and re-steems, and ultimately is a win for the entire blockchain.
Sorry dude. My view of steem isn't soured. I was just frustrated, it's all good. I'll keep grinding away and see where things go. All the best to you.
I understand @oblivioncubed glad to hear your grind is still on though, take care, and stay persistent for they will come.
