Today, after I settled some things at Menara Maybank, I decided to have a quick break at this stall called "Tea Thambi". It is a small roadside tea stall located near the entrance of YY48 Hotel. The setup consists of a simple pushcart-style counter with trays displaying a variety of fried and baked snacks.

The surrounding environment has a rustic and casual aesthetic. A classic black bicycle with a "Tea Thambi" sign is mounted on a red-painted wooden wall, adding a nostalgic and traditional touch. The thatched palm roofing above the stall enhances its old-school charm. The sidewalk where the stall is located is tiled, and the stall seems to be situated in a busy, pedestrian-friendly area.

This stall is known for its Masala tea, it sold it at RM1 for small cup and RM3 for big cup. I get myself a big cup of masala tea and 2 pieces of margarine roti biscuit that cost me RM4.

Masala tea (chai) originated in India over 5,000 years ago as an Ayurvedic drink with medicinal spices. It became more widespread in the 19th century when the British established tea plantations in Assam. Indians adapted black tea by adding local spices like ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves, creating the flavorful masala chai we know today. It remains a popular daily beverage across South Asia and beyond.
