Success without a successor is down right failure. Now the question is Who are you grooming to succeed you or take your place when you are no longer on the scene?
Who are you grooming to fulfill their destiny in life.
Jesus knew it was impossible for him to accomplish the task of personally reaching the whole world with the gospel of salvation. So he selected and trained 12 disciples and charged them with the responsibility of fulfilling what he had started. The entire three years of Jesus active ministry was therefore dedicated mainly to mentoring these 12.
Investing yourself in others often Leaves the world with better versions of you

In the book connecting Paul stanley and Robert Clinton defined mentoring as "a relational experience in which one person empowers another by sharing God-given resources. " it is about being a coach, a teacher, a counselor, a trainer an instructor and a tutor to someone else.
Simply put, mentoring is one person investing life in another who is willing to learn.
We progress in life through a series of transitions and these transitions can sometimes be quiet difficult. The lessons we learn from such experiences are not for us alone but also for those who follow us in similar situations.
Mentoring enables us help others through the struggles of life which we ourselves have come through.
