In my previous post, I concluded by saying that you are always a thought away from winning and achieving your leadership dreams, which brings me to show you how that is possible.
Beyond the realm of thoughts, there is another realm in the creation process that every pioneer leader must engage in shaping the working environment for the players of the leadership. Every thought must be spoken in order to become a reality.
The Ancient Book has an account of the creation story on how God first of all thought about what He wanted to do and then spoke them to pass. Here is how it was recorded: “And God said… And God saw…” And at other place it is written that “He calls those things that be not though they were.” To see any change in your leadership, you must speak your thoughts to pass so that your followers can here you in order to act in that direction.
It is not enough to have good thoughts about a project you and your team are faced with, rather, you need to go a little further in the creation process by speaking them to pass. Whatever you say is what you will inadvertently have. It is your responsibility to confirm your thoughts with your words.
I understand that as the leader, you are often under pressure to say things even when it appears that a lot are going wrong, which also leaves you with the responsibility of recreating the situation with your words. Words are things when spoken from a consistent and conscious thought. If you think and say anything will go wrong, it surely will.
I remember reading a story about a group of 12 leaders, who were sent to spy up a land so that their Nation could go ahead and conquer it. After their expedition, they were asked to give report. Two different reports were given by these individuals, accordingly:
“We went to the land to which you sent us and, oh! It does flow with milk and honey! Just look at this fruit! The only thing is that the people who live there are fierce, their cities are huge and well-fortified. Caleb interrupted, called for silence before Moses and said, "Let's go up and take the land — now. We can do it." But the others said, "We can't attack those people; they're way stronger than we are." They spread scary rumors among the People of Israel. They said, "We scouted out the land from one end to the other — it's a land that swallows people whole. Everybody we saw was huge. Why, we even saw the Nephilim giants (the Anak giants come from the Nephilim). Alongside them we felt like grasshoppers. And they looked down on us as if we were grasshoppers." -Moses.
The first report was “We can do it” and the second, “We can't attack those people; they're way stronger than we are." And each of them got what they said.
The truth is, the situation or project you are faced with can only be achieved if you think and say so. Your words can either kill or build your organization.
As the pioneer leader, create the right ambience for your people with the right words that empowers the people to fold their sleeves and go to work no matter what the situation is. They need positive words from you. Positive words are like fuel that powers them in the direction of getting things done. Your leadership will eventually become your consistent spoken words.
Great post!
Thank you very much dear.
