With @ejemai of STACH
Steem Accelerator Hub (STACH), Uyo was successfully launched yesterday, January 20, 2018. This day won't be erased easily in the history books of Steemit.
The event witnessed a large turn out of Steemians from the nooks and cranies of the state, people from all walks of life. We also had in attendance, people who came from other cities to grace the event.
It is important to acknowledge the brain child behind the remarkable STACH project, @ejemai who did not only harbour this vision but went ahead giving everything to make it become successful.
@stach logo and signature on the wall of the hub
The purpose of STACH at Uyo is to provide a facility with access to free Wi-Fi and constant electricity to aid the activities of Steemians within the Uyo community, thus decentralising the offline.
Let me specially thank @samstickkz and all other facilitators @ewuoso @joshuaattat @onequality @gbenga @ifioklee @evelyniroh @vwovwe @nairadaddy @sussan @emem @destinysaid and all the Uyo Steemians who took it upon themselves to ensure that yesterday's event was a huge success.
Yesterday was the first time I was privileged to meet and interact with numerous Steemians and the joy I felt was inexplicable. I saw great joy on the faces of Steemians through their smiles and shared laughter. Uyo Steemians were happy, as happy as a child who just got a gift from Santa, as happy as a pig in the mud, Lol.
*With @nexrules @kvngcreamy and @gnomicrules
The event witnessed great speakers who shared vital ideas on how to grow and succeed on Steemit as well as how to fathom the ingenuities involved in cryptocurrencies. The hub was filled, such that the number of Steemians who were outside was almost the same with those inside the hub if not more.
@ejemai took quality time to address salient issues concerning the workings of Steemit. He ended by inspiring Steemians to live above mediocrity.
In his words, paraphrased...
I want young people to be productive, I don't want them to be used by politicians any longer. I want youths to be independent and even more powerful than the government
**@ejemai giving a talk
He also added the need for Steemians to be patient, hardworking and consistent, as he himself had weathered through all challenges and setbacks to become successful.
My meeting with @ejemai was phenomenal, I had already heard so much wonderful things about him, that meeting him was inevitable.
@nairadaddy gave us a talk on Air-clinic and how to be active on it. My discussion later with him was a cool one filled of great ideas. He is such a fine gentleman, I must say. I told him, "I thought you are from India". He laughed helplessly, saying "No".
@samstickkz took time to answer questions regarding fluctuation in the price and rate of steem dollars in the capital market. He also talked about the concept of steem, steem power and steem dollars.
I also had a quality interaction with @pangoli who shared knowledge with me about Science and health related posts with me.
I met with @magdnrobinson and his friends who told me about their "Leprosy Project" coming up on February 4th. I helped them at the event make writings on a cardboard to help create awareness as well as promote the project.
I met with @ewuoso and I was thrilled. He's such an amazing guy, I told him he had a striking resemblance resemblance with Wizkid, though he denied it.
@emmexdee and his colleagues talked to us about Cryptonoafrica and cryptocurrency
Oh my! Uyo community is filled with beautiful and handsome Steemians. Where did they come from? I thought for once, maybe they were specially selected
And finally, I met with my steemit crush @evelyniroh. I beheld the beauty I once dreamt of. And there was no exception to everything I previously wrote, about her. She's more than what I wrote, she's indeed an Amazon!
Refreshments (Item 6) was not left out, as our digestive systems were put to work. A cake was also cut in celebration of STACH, Uyo.
I ended the day with an after event Sit-out with @mritsnobigdeal and @vic-essien, these guys made me to laugh to tears with their plenty
gists.
Indeed, timing is everything. One would wish that we have this kind of gathering everyday. Well, it has come and gone but the impact, memoirs and investments will yield abundant results soon. Thank you @stach for this beautiful project.
Thank you for reading.
