"Love your dream, pursue it try as much not to hurt no one just as you do your best not to please anyone. If It's your dream, CONTROL IT and in the process of doing so, FEAR NO MAN, Its the soul that matters" -- @kennyc
It's a blessed new week here again and ofcourse it's has always been my pleasure to leave you with an inspiration to for the week. Right up👆 is simply the message I mean to pass.
In the quote, there are 4 major laws we all can fish out.
- Love your Dream.
- Pursue it.
- Hurt no one.
- Please no one.
- Control your Dream.
- Fear no man.
To an extent we all one way or the other should understand the importance of 1,2,3,4 in the process of making our dreams hit or through the general day to day lifestyle. Ofcourse if you have a dream you've got to love it, if you love it your going to pursue it no matter what, and then in the process of pursuing it you never need to hurt anyone or obstruct someone else's dream for the wrong reason.
And don't forget it's not advisable you please anyone for any reason at all, I'm not saying you shouldn't help someone but don't make it look like your pleasing the person because humans can be very wonderful and I don't blame anyone at all, it's simply human nature and can't be changed so it's advisable not to try to please anyone, believe it or not it's not even necessary.
So basically I'm going to be emphasizing on number 5 and 6 which is what this article is mainly about.
*5 SAYS CONTROL YOUR DREAM.
Trust me when I say it's very important we learn how to control our dreams. Firstly we must understand that the power to control our dreams is right in our hands and the earlier we start controlling it, the better that dream stands a chance to become actualized.
To control your dream is more than what you might just have in mind. To control your dream implies paying whatever price or giving any everything within the provisions of morals to see that dream actualized.
Controlling your dream does not necessarily mean the dream must come to pass through you, it simply possible for you to start up a vissioned dream and at the end of the day, the dream is achieved but not directly by you but certainly through you. It is also not possible to see that Dream actualized but have in mind, that dream can be actualized through you or without you but what matters the most is your stamp and conception.
*6 SAYS FEAR NO MAN.
Every dreamer must be aware that there will be certain people out there who will not support your ideology and Infact look for every possible way to make sure that dream is not actualized.
Some will just hate you for no good reason while others will not mind taking your life if they have the opportunity. A friend once told me "everyone has different dreams, but some people's dream is to make sure they see other people's dreams not actualized. In this kind of case you must be able to identify them and avoid whatever strategy they use against you.
To be more concise about this, I'll use the summarized challenge of the great profile of MARTIN LUTHER KING JR, the great American civil rights activist.
Martin had received frequent death threats but it didn't stop him. After the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, king told his wife Coretta "this is what is going to happen to me also"
Martin as a full fledged and highly active civil rights knew his life was at all time astake, but this didn't stop him from controlling his dreams.
Martin travelled to Memphis, Tennessee in support of striking African American city sanitation workers. The workers had staged a workout on February 11, 1968 to protest unequal wages and working conditions imposed by the then mayor HENRY LOEB.
at that time black workers were significantly subjected to lower wages than whites.
It was terrible, Infact black workers as at then could not stay indoors out of work during unfavorable weather conditions as the whites did or else they would not be paid.
April 3, King Luther was to move to Memphis to address a gathering at the MASON temple although due to a bomb threat, his flight was delayed but he later delivered his planned speech.
*The following day, April 4, 1968 King Jr was assassinated at his room 306 in Lorraine Motel. King had gone into the balcony and was standing near his room when he was shot. The bullet entered through his right cheek, breaking his jaw and several vertebrae as it traveled down his spinal cord before lodging in his shoulder.
He was rushed to the hospital but later died after never recovering from the short comma.
This was a very heavy and painful event that happened in America leaving tears on the faces of the blacks and even some whites and blisters in the hearts of his family members.
An extraordinary dreamer who was killed for the sake of his dreams, and for the sake of making the black race equal and fairly treated in the society.
Although it looked as if Martin Luther knew his death was near as this was his speech to the crowd at Memphis the night before his assassination.
""And then I got to Memphis. And some began to say the threats... or talk about the threats that were out. What would happen to me from some of our sick white brothers?
Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn't matter with me now. Because I've been to the mountaintop.
[applause] And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you.
But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land! [applause] And so I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!""
From the beginning of this speech it seemed to me that he perceived the end, and yet didn't give up on the war for black freedom. He talked about the promised land, in this context a land a land were all the blacks will be fully free and equal to every other individual in OR outside America. He controlled his dream not minding if it led to his very end, but then with so much hate from the government and around the white society. HE STOOD!! to control his dream spelling out that, he has climbed on the mountain to view the promised land, but then it's not mandatory for him to enter it.
What matters more is that the people which he leads enter it. That's even the purpose of his leadership. And don't misquote he wasn't trying to please anybody, not the black nation or even his family, it was a personal project that was why it was a dream.
Today America and the world at large has recorded not just black leaders but great black presidents.
This all was just the revelation of the vissionalist right in the mind of Martin. Things are very clear now THE DREAM IS TRUE*
Something touching happened according to biographer Taylor Branch, Kings last words were to musician Ben Branch who was scheduled to perform that night at the event on April 3.
King said "make sure you play "take my hand precious Lord in the meeting tonight. Play it really pretty".
This particular event sounded like he was aware he lived in his final moments.
But he feared no man. Fearing any man was not part of his dream, so it never came inbetween it.
NOTE: i'm not saying you should go out there and die, nope besides death is only the only sacrifice, it depends on the nature and kind of dream you uphold. what I'm saying is there are certain decisions and sacrifices you must take run any dream to the end, and if you not ready for such decisions dont bother dreaming.
