Still in this course of empowering the heads of fellow young people in Nigeria and the @steemit world at large, I wish to pen this motivational piece which aims at opening our eyes to the wealthiest place.
A speaker once said, that the richest place in the world is in the grave. This is simply because many have died with un-used talents and gifts. Many good brains have been lowered into the grave without a scratch of it to solve human problems. Thank God for the great inventors of all time from Abacus to today's high-tech 7D technology, who have determined and willingly eased the troubles of mankind by their inventions. I will always have to thank all the HEADS, BRAINS and HANDS behind the innovation and development of this great community. So endearing, is steemit's aim of rewarding "creative minds" and "productive brains" .Great steeminas like @steemitguide, @busy @dtube @thecryptofiend @jesta @mindover @anyx @steemitblog @stach @steemchurch @dorbatim @ejemai @candyman @surpassinggoggle @nairadaddy @sirknight @scripture-union among others whose works have formed a basis for others to grow in the system. One thing common with these persons, is that they saw great treasures on the bare world and cyberspace where tangibles could be developed. They all saw a future in the most unlikely places.
INVENTORS SEE THE FUTURE IN THE MOST UNLIKELY PLACES
That is how God made it from the beginning. He formed the earth from a formless darkened nothingness (Genesis 1:1). He has always uses the weak things to shame the mighty (1 Corinthians 1: 27): David vs Goliath, Gideon vs Midianites, Moses vs Pharaoh, etc. Today, great things are still wrought in the oddest of places. This gives me the boldness to shout loud and louder:
THERE IS WEALTH IN THE DRAINS
All #science students are witnesses that natural resources at their raw states/forms are never appealing. You wouldn't want to pay for raw gold as much as you would for a refined high carat gold.
Sadly, every school leaver in this part of the world - Nigeria, are looking for white collar jobs. Most of them want to work where their fashionability and trendiness will be displayed. To them, Farm-work is for the poor and less privileged. Even the so-called graduates of Agriculture are cuing up to work in the banks. This misdemeanor must be addressed if we must grow and make impacts.
No one want s to create something. Everyone goes for the ready-made goods. Don't forget the words of Napoleon Hill "Think and grow rich. What has been already in existence is not your thought. Yours should be how to modify and improve on them.
In one of my research endeavours, I happened to find myself in a huge micro-tunnelling pipe-jacking drainage outfall in Itu L.G.A., Akwa Ibom State, Southern Nigeria. This happens to be one of the most expensive and biggest drainage project in the Niger-Delta. My quest was to know where the huge drainage water with capacities as high as 29 m3/s flow to.
However, on reaching, I saw something very intriguing. Empty PET bottles beyond count were trapped in the buffering forest. That's an avenue for recycling.
At the periphery of the drainage discharged as pictured, the accumulation of phosphorus, sodium and other nutrients washed from the upstream of the areas served by the drainage, created the EUTROPHICATION EFFECT. That's and avenue for the production of organic manure from eutrophication waters.
There were seeds of plants that began to grow and thrive not minding the much sand-bed because the soil is rich in nutrients.
I challenge every young person reading this post that it you can venture into the unlikely seemingly dirty places to bring out the best of values. Success doesn't look good untill it is worked on.
Look for the Wealth in the Drains!
Untill crude oil is refined, it remains dirty. Until Gold is refined, it remains a dirt. Untill Clay is refined and fired, it remains a dirt.
Lest you forgot, you were formed from a miry clay, but was worked on by God, and now, ou are a living being.
You nailed it , boss!
Wealth is everywhere but most people seem to be looking the wrong direction.
Thanks for coming around @liltom
Great one
Thank you
