Excellent take on a classic. I am torn on Star Wars. I love the original, but I also loved the EU. I was devastated when it was de-canonized. The EU was a way that fans could hang on to what they loved and carry it with them. To strip them of that was a real betrayal. There are some redeeming qualities in the newer content. I like the Mandalorian. The ending scene in season 2 was something I really felt. I happened to like Rogue One and the tie-in to A New Hope. Actually, I think those are the only 2 scenes I enjoyed out of the newer content.
