@stellabelle, your perspective on the "history" of the Steemit platform is way beyond mine. But I see the trend boiling in the background. It's just a matter of time before Facebook and others feel the presence and pressure of Steemit. As soon as it impacts their share price, it will be news.
I think the connection to crypto that the media originally labeled as the evil currency of the dark web has put a negative tinge to all things related, but that is clearly wearing off.
In the quest dominance and greed, I fear that facebook may dabble in this area, their own alt coin, or straight out jacking the Steemit concept as a course of business evolution. I think we are all tired of in-your-face ad-driven content. Just as google watches, dabbles, then jumps in to dominate and crush all competition.
I hope together, all those who believe in this new content-driven community can keep Steemit way out in front. I know I'm in it for the long run.
well i can tell you that in March we were all staring at eachother.....and there were crickets, everywhere.
It's waaaaaay different now.
That's good. You can definitely sense the excitement building even as the crypto markets take their much need sideways move for a bit.
Also I've been meaning to ask you, do you get involved in witness voting? I have been trying to read through them all, some I know from posts and reply interactions, but most I don't. I don't understand enough of the tech/ability aspect to cast a qualified vote. If you do, do you accept yourself to be a proxy voter for other members?
