This look all very nice for the future of Steem!!! But if the price of Steem goes to 20$ we won't be getting any Steem Power from our posts :(
Is there a chance that they will recalibrate the code to cater for that fact?

That’s a bit of flawed logic. Steem actually calculates your payout in SP (the translation to USD is then just for show) So if you’re getting 1 SP from a post now, your USD may show $5. If Steem price climbs to $20... a post that earns 1 SP will still earn 1 SP and the USD total will show $20! A gain in value does not make anyone earn SP at any slower pace. The increased popularity of the site and competition among users will make it harder though.
