I wish I could say that I want them to be separate so I would have a backup place to reach people. Sadly a few times in the past they both had major outages at the same time due to issues on amazon. Even discord here over past month has had some major stability issues which is rather strange for them to have. I recall steam chat going down a lot more but when you are not using you don’t always notice when it does.
Somehow in the end with how crazy our world is discord will just buy them and then will have discord chat and steam!
I just expect better from a company that has billions in tractions going thought there site. Even more so when one of our members said in discord he had UI for a while now. So how could they have not known if that is the case. It has issues that seem a little more beyond just dealing with different hardware configurations of the users.
Yes, with Valve's resources and with them rolling out these updates months in advance in different regions they probably should have caught these bugs and ironed out some of the wrinkles by now. And if it was a matter of them needing time to work out the bugs, then maybe they should have just delayed the push to a later date. Just sayin' haha
