It's really great that my relatives live in Pangasinan. We always take time to have a vacation there every year. It has been a tradition for us as a family to always go on an adventure or two a year. Fortunately this time around, it was here where our sense of adventure brough us. To the famous Hundred Islands of Alaminos, Pangasinan.
We set on our way early in the morning. Because we planned to spend all day on the beach, we bought fresh seafood and vegetables from the local market in Alaminos. It ain't a beach when there is no grilled seafood! Once we're done in the market, we went to the shore side where bangkas or wooden boats are rented that will bring groups to the different islands. Our group is composed of adults, teens and kids so we opted to go to the island called Governor's island as our destination so everyone can have a good time whether your up for some swimming, aqua sports or you simply want to lie around and enjoy the breeze.
When we got there, there were already lots of other tourists. The island was truly alive even if it is cut off from the city proper. There were people swimming, playing beach ball, some or riding jet skis, others are on a banana boat waiting for it to topple and have a bit of extreme experience. Wherever you look and go, there are many things to do in this island.
We settled to a rented cottage and prepared our food. Others, especially the younger ones can't hold it any longer and headed for the water quickly and enjoyed. It was a day that resulted in tan lines of different shades and sizes and of course, lots of fun.
What definitely stands out about this is how clear the water is and the white sandy beach. The only thing missing is that coconut juice drink and you might feel you really are in paradise but that you can also buy here as there are stores on the island. Heck, you can even enjoy an ice cream under the hot sun! This is truly a paradise for the beach lovers. We only made a day tour of the island but for enthusiasts and beach bums, cottages with airconditioned rooms are for rent for those who wants to go for an overnight experience. Maybe you just want to have a peaceful ala private beach feels as there are not much people left on the island. Perfect also for those seeking a romantic date. You can't go wrong with going to the beach with your significant other.
Sadly, sooner or later we had to go back to the main land. It was quite the experience we had and sharing it with the people you love made it a greater experience too. Despite feeling sad to leave the sandy paradise, that just gave us more reasons to come back again and again. After all, it was only just one island we set our feet on. And there are hundred more islands to see and hundred more stories to tell. Another day for another adventure! :)
For those of you who likes to go to the beach, I highly suggest the Hundred Islands of Pangasinan. You can never run out of activities to do here. Either you want to go on a casual beach trip or up for extreme experience, there is a place for you here. So what are you waiting for? Time to get that dry feet soaked!
Nice post, Sir! Planning to go there someday! :)
