Hi, guys! For this project, I decided to make a beautiful steampunk necklace. It's very simple to create.
To do this, we are going to use some of these tools and materials:
Tools:
- files
- hammer
- tweezers
- little bolts
- little nuts
- arc saw
- anvil
- drill
Materials:
- sharpie markers
- metal sheet (i use a dvd case)
- some watch gears
- little key
- some jewerly stuff.
Let´s do it!
Step 1: Make the metal wings
To develop the wings, use the metal sheet (dvd case). After drawing it with a sharpie, I started to cut it carefully with a saw arc. Once finished, I removed the excess of material with a file and I polished a little bit. But not too much! The idea is to keep a rustic and antique look.
Step 2: Prepare the gears
This is step is really simple: it's just about to find some suitable gear in terms of shape and size and make some holes with the drill in necessary places. In this case, I made four holes: two for the wings, one to hang the small key and another on the top (the last one is optional).
Step 3: Assembly
Now you just have to assemble everything as you want! Don't matter how much gear, washers, bolts or ornaments you use. It's up to you! I really like how the two wings look between the two gears and the small key pendant. So, with the small bolts, put the wings in this place and well... let the magic happens. You can do all you want.
Step 4: Finish
I apologize if i didn't use the correct terms in English, because it is not my official language. That's why I tried to be quite clear with the images. That's all for now. I hope you all enjoy it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.Until next time!
STEEMpunk! Like STEEM... I get it!
