1. Fathers are softer on the discipline of their kids especially when they are still very small.
2. A father figure goes a long way in the development of kids, especially for male kids. A mother can't fulfil that role.

Hi guys ,

I am back again , so this is my answer.

I AM AGAINST THE NOTION THAT father's are better than mother's.

Maybe because I am a girl , so guys please don't feel bad about what I am going to say okay.

Here are the reason why I feel this way.

1. Firstly , a mother sacrifices a lot for the child , which begins the moment she realized she is pregnant , and then it's a total struggle for 9 months . She will become fat , will get stretch marks and loses her beauty too.

2. Secondly , I feel as much as the father loves the child , the mother s love is more because the baby comes from her , and they have a stronger bond. And I feel that a mother is always protective of the baby. Offcourse father is too , but mother has that been eye on the baby.

3. Because of the lost beauty , the father could end up losing his love for the mother , but not in many cases , in some it does happen. But even then there are mothers who spend their whole life for their babies.

4. Mother's always support their kids always , even when father's are shouting and arguing . They will have the babies back. They console them and even try to talk to the dad and try to let them have their way.

5. Even when the child has grown big and imagine if he married someone who the family didn't like and the dad forbid him to come home..mom will find a way to see her child... Because at the end of the day a mom can't be angry at her child for a long time.

6. A mom will sacrifice anything for her baby , anything , I literally mean it , I have seen , especially in a complicated surgery , where they say , it's either the mom or the child , and the mom says , the child. She will always put the child before her.

Just found this page and it's cool that you have debates. Not participating but I feel they are equal roles where they provide equal input. Make up each others strengths and weaknesses. Given you could've grown up in an orphanage and dont need parents for say but in my opinion having both play an equal important role. But it would be cool to see someone say why a father would be more important and then a woman choose a father and a man explain the mothers side. That seems like it would be interesting because I've only read women explain the mothers side which they have some good points. This seems like a cool and interesting page. Keep up the debates!

I m against;

First maybe because i m girl that's why i m close to my mum than my dad.

1. Mother the one wo give birth to us, they put their life line to delivery us to this world. And that's not an easy taxt. For 1 month to the due date.
2. Mother is more directly to tell something .
3. Mother can be friends and we can share any girls thing to her.
4. The first crush we can tell mother .
   mother with the gently voice will encourage us when we failed for something
5. Mother's love never end to us.
6. Kids is easy to close to mother than father
7. Mother can take care of us, do household, help father or prepare his thing, do socialita with neighbours.
8. Mother love for her child make them ready if their life exchange for us, their kids. They are okay if nit eating to make us full. They are fine without sleep properly, so we can have a nice dreamt, etc.
9. Nothing can compare with mother's love.
   But without father at her back she can't be wonderful mum. His love his care make he heart full of blessed.

But now i lost my mother for 6 years already and left only my father. I love him , even he can't chat a many things to me, or he can't express his love, i knew he love me so much, and always pray for my happy life. He is a reason i m still stronger and can fly higher even without my right wing. I love you Mum and Dad .

I am against the statement that fathers are better then mothers. Although I might be a tad biased even as a man.

1. My father was never in my life so I could not say what it is even like to have a father
2. My mother is and was my biggest supporter growing up she always came to all my ballgame and practices so she pulled double duty.
3. Mothers seem to care more about their children then fathers do at times, what I mean is that even the mothers of my friends often times felt like they supported me more then the men in my life.
4. Mothers seem to understand when a child needs to be comforted when men are akward in the situation
5. Personal experience has played a large factor in my view of this discussion

The Stand

I like to declare that I am AGAINST THE MOTION!

The Points

1. If it weren't for the fact they literally gave birth to the entirity of the human race, then we wouldn't be having birth/death rates. In fact, they have to suffer through that shit of birthing and carrying us when we were babies.
2. Babies, before learning language, can have all their desires understood and fulfilled by the mother rather better than the father in most cases. In fact there's a reason why psychoanalytic theory pays more attention to the Mother (or a motherly figure) more in a child's development than the Father (or a fatherly figure).
3. Because of the fact that the mother literally procreated a baby into existence, they more than likely, will rather protect and sacrifice for the baby with all their life than give it up - though that isn't to say the father won't due the same, just they don't have the emotional baggage of point number one.

(But in all seriousness, fathers are equal to mothers in every other respect. And circumstances can make these two parenting figures better or worse in the long run - instincts are just habits merely exercised for long periods of time.)
