I tried sharing for the first time yesterday. I can post but there is no thumnail image, nor the first bit of text from the post, not the post title. But what does appear is the full link to the post and a box that says "steemit.com". Oh, and I was using Chrome, not Internet Explorer.

That is interesting that's the whole point I want to use this function pretty sure it used to have a thumbnail so people on facebook got a "sneak peak"
Here's an idea: If FB sees STEEMIT as a threat to FB's current traffic numbers maybe making STEEMIT linked posts less eye catching is intentional on FB's part.
