Can someone explain why my 100% upvote worth went down?

Hi fellow Steemians,

When I started my voting worth has Always been the default 0.02 cents. As far as I know my voting power has never been lower than 80% and currently close to 95%.

When I checked some statistics yesterday I found out that my voting worth lowered to 0.01 cent. I do not understand why. Can anyone explain why or what might have happened?

It happens because you only have a certain amount of up-votes at 2% of your accounts value, 2c being the default of a $1 account (which everyone starts with). When that has run out, your up-votes become 1c and 0c thereafter until the week is up and your votes get replenished.

Thanks for your answer. Makes sense. I thought I would only need to keep my voting power in mind. And that's always 80+% to 100% in my case. So I don't actually upvote too often.

Hi @Valderrama I've noticed the same thing after a lot of research on the platform I found out that when you've voted a X amount in 7 days the pay out of your votes goes down, after the 7 day cycle you will have the same pay out per vote as you used to have. In your case and my cade 0.02 cents:)

Alright. So there are two things:

1. Voting power. Too low means lower vote worth.
2. Too many votes per week lowers vote worth as well, even though voting power may very well be 100%

Ja :) volgens mij is er hier op Steemit zelfs een #nl community daar ga ik binnenkort ook eens naar kijken maar dat zullen er vast nog niet veel zijn

Die is er zeker. @steemspoker houdt die lijst van Nederlands bij. Mocht je er nog niet op staan, dan kom je er zo meteen vanzelf op ;)

Anders moet je hem even opzoeken. Hij plaatst regelmatig posts waarin alle Nederlanders staan. Op dit moment zijn er geloof ik 70 of bijna 80 bekend.

Thanks voor de tip ik stond nog niet op de lijst dus ik heb hem een berichtje gestuurd. Zou leuk zijn als de Nederlandse community hier op Steemit flink groeit :)

I noticed it, too. It fluctuates. I think it is tied to the exchange rate of steem, so that happens. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Mine is apparently still at a whopping 2 cents level, but I haven't been voting a lot recently.=)

So what happens when I upvote someone by 100%. I am new to steemit. It's complicated.
