Last Saturday we had our fortnight #steem-music gig again. Woohooo!!! This time it collaborates with #teammalaysiababes in conjunction with International Woman Day. I’m no feminist but I believe we as women should have our own rights.
As we will see a lot of report for the night, I will just share my own weekend here. Saturdays are not the best day to do anything at night as it is my busiest day at work and I’ll be pretty much moody at the end of the day. Last Saturday was no different. We had a long Friday night as we were having @evangelinesp sleepover at our house so a late night was in order. Like all performances, I like to at least rehearse once to not screw up during the actual day so @calebleejl and I did our run through literally during midnight. That’s how we train the children to sleep in noisy environment. LOL!
Since it is for International Women Day, we thought of doing something that goes with the theme. But after much thought, we decided to do a song called ‘Mencintaimu’. As Indonesian, I am extremely proud of the work of our local artists. Krisdayanti is one of the biggest names in Indonesian entertainment world and this song is one of her most famous work.
As I wasn’t feeling too well that day, we decided to just stick with that one song. But the crowd was very supportive as always and wanted encore so we did another one by Christina Aguilera called ‘Beautiful’, very much an empowering song. I aspire to be a singer-songwriter like @cbppls but it’s like 10 steps away so I’m gonna start with step 1 which is singing covers. ☺
