Who's firing at the players, and who will make it out alive? In the last round the players found themselves in a field with at least two men firing at them. They had to try to make it out alive, so let's see what options they chose and how it worked out for them.
Not that all options get picked, but due to the Play-A-Long Pocalypse Game being run by @novaatebatman, I will be providing results for options.
DAY 9 ROUND 2 RESULTS
OPTION 1 – Try to run away across the open field to the wood-line.
Some of the players took off running. A moving target can be harder to hit, but remaining upright was not that good of an idea.
As the players continued to run, the bullets continued to fly, and eventually the players were hit. Once they were wounded, they became much easier to finish off for them men, who were desperate for food and resources.
Players who chose Option 1 are now dead. They can join back in next season if they wish.
OPTION 2 – Try to crawl across the open field to the wood-line.
Some of the players immediately hit the ground. Concealed by the tall grass of the field, they were able to sneak across to the woods and escape this threat, though a few bullets were still randomly being fired overhead. Congratulations.
Players who chose Option 2 safely escaped and have progressed to the next round.
OPTION 3 – Try to return fire to eliminate the threat, risking as many rounds of ammunition as necessary. (For players with a loaded weapon.)
Fight fire(power) with fire(power). For players who chose to engage in battle, a short gun fight followed. The men were not expecting this, and had not really taken cover. With just three shots fired, the players safely eliminated the threat (as long as they had 3 rounds of ammunition or more, combined total for teams. Once the men were dead, the players chose to search them for goods, gaining 2 rifles and 25 rounds of ammunition.
If players had less than three rounds of ammunition, they scared the second man away after shooting the first, but the second man took the goods, not the players.
Players who chose Option 3 now have gained items (+ 2 rifles / + 25 rounds ammunition) unless they had less then 3 rounds of ammunition, in which case they just escaped alive.
OPTION 4 – Try to bluff the men by charging at them screaming, in an attempt to cause them to retreat.
This option was not a smart idea, and anyone choosing to react this way has been shot to death.
Players who chose Option 4 are now dead. They can join back in next season if they wish.
OPTION 5 - Hold up the note high and shout, "Wait, I have an encrypted note for a young man!"
Although a purpose for this note will hopefully one day present itself, this was not the correct scenario. The players who held the note high took two to the chest, and fell over dead...
Players who chose Option 5 are now dead. They can join back in next season if they wish.
DAY 10 ROUND 1 SCENARIO
The players are tired and sore as they make their way through the woods again. Thankfully the main threat so far has been humans, because if wild animals start attacking them too, they will have an even harder time surviving.
After putting some more distance between themselves and the clearing, they stop to rest. As they rest, they notice that some of their previous scratches and wounds now look infected.
Ouch! Something should be done soon.
The players look around to see if any useful plants may be available. They see a few, but they also see some mud. Should they try to apply some plants, or maybe even eat some as a way to boost their infection-fighting powers, or should try to cover their wounds in mud to potentially protect them and draw out the infection?
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 – Try to rub a poultice of this plant on your wounds and eat some too just for good measure.
OPTION 2 – Try to rub the mud on to your wounds and allow it to dry.
OPTION 3 – Try to rub a poultice of this plant on your wounds and eat some too just for good measure.
OPTION 4 – Try to rub a poultice of this plant on your wounds and eat some too just for good measure.
OPTION 5 - Don't risk messing around with the plants or mud and just keep going.
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
All players who have signed up and want to play must reply to this post with 24 hours in order to avoid elimination and continue gameplay. All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.
IMPORTANT: The Backup Food Supplies are in one ration portions, which can feed one player and keep them alive for two days. Also, if for some reason you decide to change your choice prior to the 24 hour response time cutofff, please contact @novaatebatman to make sure you are registered under the correct option.
Also, please remember to include your inventory in your reply. Example:
I have gas, a magnesium firestarter, a NOTE, a PLANT FIELD GUIDE and a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition. I must eat by the end of Day 10. I choose Option 3 this round.
As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of your are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.
PRIZE POOL
The current prize pool is 675 SBD. The total prize pool amount will grow each round until the game is over.
A Special Thanks to @liberty-minded for Providing the Title Gif and the GAME OVER Gif and a very Special Thanks to @novaatebatman for all the help keeping track of this mess.
Until next time…

Hello, @novaatebatman---I changed my choice to Option 3, before the cutoff time. This will be my FINAL answer for this round, after ages of going through field manuals and photos of plants online. :)
There are actually many situations when covering your wounds is a much better idea. In an outdoors scenario, if you have access to honey, putting honey on your wound, then covering it with something else is the ideal treatment. (Honey has antiseptic and antibiotic qualities, and will prevent other things from getting into the wound.)
But honey isn't an option here. :D
Just wanted to add that in, as someone that is immunocompromised (and therefore extremely susceptible to infections), has trouble healing, and has learned a lot about first aid and alternative first aid.
Thanks for the info, @novaatebatman. I know about honey being an excellent wound treatment. It's highly antibiotic. But, I read four survival manuals online that all said don't cover the wound, but pack it with herbs or gauze and keep it open, so that's what I went with. A couple specifically said never use mud, though I have heard before that mud is good. I guess the situation really does depend on the individual person. Some people may do better with closing the wound, and others may need to keep it open.
(I changed my choice to #3, before the cutoff time, just to make sure you noticed. I did a lot of plant research for this. Lol!)
Using gauze is still covering it, lol.
And if you (under normal everyday situations, not survival situations) are able to, it's actually best to keep a lot of wounds wet (antibiotic ointment is usually the best thing to use, or vaseline, or honey, etc) and covered. It significantly reduces scarring.
Did you know that the reason people get the urge to scratch their scabs off is because if you leave them alone, they can actually keep your wound open and increase scarring? (Though if you're rough with removing the scabs, you'll most likely increase scarring anyways.)
It depends on the depth of the wound/thickness of the scab and the location. But this especially happens to me on my hands and the backs of my arms.
I dunno which option is the best for STEEM-POCALYPSE, but you better pick fast!
I made my final decision. Option 3. :)
(As for the wound thing, yeah, I just had a mole removed from my jawline yesterday, for cosmetic reasons, and they recommended keeping ointment on the wound to reduce scarring.)
I have a pistol w/8 rounds of ammo, a knife, water purification tablets, a plant field guide, and an note. I do not need to eat until the end of day 10. After going back and forth, I will take a shot in the dark and go with option 1 to rub this plant on my wounds and eat some. I hope I am making the right choice!
I have a knife, a flashlight and rifle with 4 rounds of ammunition. I have to eat prior to the end of Day 10 in order to avoid starvation. I choose Option 1 this round.
I go with Option 1 this round.
In my inventory I have a NOTE and the FIELD FOOD SURVIVAL GUIDE. I need to eat by the end of DAY 10.

OPTION 3 – Try to rub a poultice of this plant on your wounds and eat some too just for good measure.
I have a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition, water purification tablets, Plant Field Guide, a Note, and a flashlight. I need to eat by the end of day 10. I chose option 3: Try to rub a poultice of this plant on my wounds and eat some too just for good measure.
Option 3--I have spent a good couple of hours researching this, and hope I am correct. site I've looked at that identifies the other two, but I THINK this one may be chickweed, which is safe to eat, and could be used as a poultice. So, I'm going with this one, and hope I've chosen correctly.
I have a KNIFE, a PISTOL WITH 8 ROUNDS OF AMMO, WATER PURIFICATION TABLETS, a PLANT FIELD GUIDE, a NOTE, a FLASHLIGHT, and a BACKUP FOOD SUPPLY. I need to eat again by the end of Day 10.
We're going to go with Option 3
A lot of research went into this answer, and were feeling pretty confident. There was one other option we think is good as well but were uncertain. This one seemed almost unmistakable as far as identification, so hope all goes well.

@papa-pepper When is the next season ?
The signups for next season don't start until this season ends. This season doesn't end until either everyone dies or there's only one player or team remaining.
If you're interested in playing the game, I'd suggest you learn how to read the game posts thoroughly and follow the rules found on them.
