Gunfire and canyons, limited options!
In our last round, the players were placed in another desperate situation. They had been awoken by a lot of gunfire as the city erupted with a massive firefight early in the morning. The time to leave was now! The players took off into the woods, but were soon standing on the edge of a very large canyon. To make matters worse, they were being followed...
DAY 3 ROUND 1 RESULTS
OPTION 1 – Do not try to cross the canyon and wait to see what happens. For those who are armed, attempting to defend themselves with firepower will be an option if needed, but there are no guarantees.
Since many of our players were armed, and since some were just curious, several chose to wait without trying to cross the canyon. Soon, other survivors began to emerge from the edge of the woods. Unfortunately, they were both armed and aggressive.
A shootout soon began, with aggressive survivors continuing to emerge from the woods. The players did an excellent job of defending themselves and eliminating the threats... until they ran out of bullets. It seems that these aggressive survivors were some of the same ones unloading massive amounts of ammunition in the city. In the end, it did not matter how accurate of a shot the players were, because they were out-manned and outgunned.
I want to thank all the players that chose this option for signing up and participating in Season 4. I would be more than happy to have you join in again next season. The list of players who chose this option can be found in the comment section.
OPTION 2 – Move up the canyon towards a dead tree and attempt to jump and grab a vine hanging from it. If a team chooses this option, please let me know who tries it first.
Although it may not have seemed like it, this was the best option for this round. Every player who chose to use this method of crossing the canyon would have made it. Interestingly enough, it was also one of the more unpopular options. Check out who chose this option below.
OPTION 3 - Attempt to jump across the canyon. If a team chooses this option, please let me know who tries it first.
This was the least chosen of all the options, and with good reason. Any player attempting to jump that canyon fell a very long way to a horrible death.
They can feel free to join back in next season, but the players/teams who chose this option have now been eliminated form Season 4. You can see who it was in the comments below.
OPTION 4 - Move down the canyon to a fallen log and attempt to cross the canyon on that. If a team chooses this option, please let me know who tries it first.
This was the most popular choice. However, it was not the safest. Often, in situations like this, it is most dangerous to be the first one across. However, this old log was about ready to give.
The first person across the log made it safely, but weakened the log in doing so. The second on across broke the log and fell to a horrible death. This means that many teams just lost half their team, and the first ones across are solo once again. What a short friendship...
Also, the resources that the second player had are now also lost. Sometimes, survival is tragic and hard. Players without a team made it over safely, since they were the only ones to cross on their turns. Find out who is still alive below.
THOSE THAT GOT LOST AND DIED
In this season, players who do not reply in time will be considered lost and dead. Unfortunately, we have lost a few more. Sorry guys, but feel free to sign up again next season and jump back in. These players are listed below in the comments too.
DAY 3 ROUND 2 SCENARIO
With such a bloodbath on the other side of the canyon and so many players to their deaths, the players who made it across safely are a little shaken up. Obviously, things are pretty serious here.
In an attempt to focus and evaluate their situation, the remaining players head off a distance into the woods and sit down to think for a moment. As they are contemplating how to proceed, they hear a noise in the bushes behind them.
It starts as a more distant rustling, but it is apparent that it is coming their way...
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 – Attempt to run as fast and as far away as possible.
OPTION 2 – Attempt to hide in the bushes until it passes.
OPTION 3 - Curl up in the fetal position and sob uncontrollably.
OPTION 4 - Attempt to wait until whoever or whatever it is is close enough and then unload on them/it (for players with a gun).
By way of reminder, I have predetermined all the outcomes ahead of time. The end result of each option has already been decided.
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
Each Player must reply with their decision within 24 hours of this post. Players that do not reply in time will be considered lost and dead, and will have to wait until Season 5 to join back in.

whoa that is crazy, me @happyharmonymay and @whatisforte all answered at the same time yesterday cause we were talking about it, but now when i check the comments, our answers are not there, that is really unfortunate. @happyharmonymay would have made it across the log but I @verbal-d would have died from the jump and @whatisyourforte died from choosing option 1. I really don't know what happened with our comments, but Season 5 it is.

Haha @benjamincollier it looks like we were the only ones game enough to attempt the jump. Ah well, I suppose now we are just a smudge on the canyon floor. Thanks again @pappa-pepper for the chance to play this season. I am glad I made it through a few days this time, even managed to stay alive long enough to eat some berries. Good luck to the other contestants and I will see you all again next season.
Hahah desperate times call for desperate measures. At least we can say we had the guts and went down with style. Weird how we both have the same equipment and died the same way :D

Shaken up is the right word, having just seen my only mate plunge to his death, as the same log that supported me without problems crashed under him. To make things worse, I am seeing some other survivors (not the aggressive types) achieve the highly improbable, and swing their way across the canyon on the vine hanging from the dead tree. Who woulda thunk!
So truly bummed out, I decide I am done running. Still, I am not quite so sorry for myself that I would curl up and sob, though that may actually be a good choice, given the previous experience. So I decide to go for OPTION 2: Hide in the bushes. I got my shotgun with me, but since I haven't picked option 4, I suppose I won't use it.

Option 2: The Bushes. Hide in them. Shhhh, don't even breathe. I'm dirty enough to lay flat here, firearm and flashlight ready, and ride this one out. Preferring to startle a beast with the light in it's eyes, than make a shot and risk the sound for a kill, if unnecessary. Unless it looks sooo tasty...

I thought for sure a vine feeding off a dead tree would have been too brittle...
(Must have been a non-parasitic or barely parasitic vine... the pure parasites would have been near dead without a living host, if I remember correctly. Depends if they're saprophytes/dead-eaters too)
