Steem Dollars/US Dollar (SBD/USD) Price Charts for Nov 29th 2017 - 24h Change - 17.384%
So my question(s) to you is this.... what do you project them to be as we go towards the future? Do you have any investments in SBD? Is this a good time to get in?
SBD's will almost always fluctuate between +/- 10% of 1 USD worth of Steem.
However, given the thin supply we will always see large spikes in such a volatile market as cryptos. Holding SBD is not as attractive as holding steempower in my opinion, but you could certainly earn them here and try and get the best price for them when you can.
Do you see no benefit in holding on to them longterm. Let's say 2-4 years?
There was a time I did, there was talk of building out use cases for Steem Dollars which could well be an excellent idea given the power of the Steem blockchain.
Then the founders started discussing doing away with them all together and judging by recent comments from @ned he still believes we can live without them. He seems to think SBD's confuse people and it would simplify Steemit if we only had one currency in two forms.
So, if that is the plan moving forward I see little to no benefit in holding them for any long term goal. Of course things can and do change around here often :)
