RE: STEEM Distribution Revisited - Top Steem Power Holders to Distribute up to 34.3% of their control over the next 12 months...

So the 1% here are the anarchists. I do hope that Steemit has legs. Adoption has to be more than jumping in and jumping out because your posts never get more than $0.00. There has to be some value in posts that have value but are not written by anyone with popularity, a fan following, or an interested 1% whale. Offering author rewards is a two-edged sword. Presenting an algorithm that seems fair will keep new users. Facebook's user base keeps growing and gaining adoption, and offers no money to users who post. They do it out of love and social sharing. But if you offer rewards and someone writes a post with 30 upvotes and it stays at $0.00, it can be a hard pill to swallow. It just looks like a rigged system. Which is ironic, because anything that uses an algorithm is rigged, whether it is Google, Facebook Walls, or Steemit. The question is: can the system feel unrigged? For me personally, I have and will continue to post because it feels like a new experience and there is value to me in that. I honestly haven't been this excited about blogging since Google AdSense came out, which offered a penny for most ad clicks.
