Crypto is not responsible - and not necessary - to free yourself from what you call 'work'. Simply do not work as a clerk, but as a self-responsible self-employed person. It is about receiving income not only from one person or institution. That is the relevant point. Classical fiat money does and has always enabled you to to this.
