True. Personally I don't think I'd leave while the account/wallet still existed, I don't see a need to exit and burn all ties.
And if i knew I was fading out, I'd probably post a message stating I'd be around less.

An account is permanent. It cannot be removed except in a hard fork. I don't understand theatrical exits, either. Not my style.
If I knew I were going to be around less, then I'd just be around less unless there were a specific reason for my temporary absence.
