RE: So long and thanks for all the fish | a reflexion to the BOT owners and delegators

in #steem6 years ago

ODCB is a bidbot. It is just a fairer bidbot since authors are white listed so junk isn't promoted and definitely users get an roi.
The bid bots either pay more to users or delegators, markets balance themselves and change over time. If you delegate to a bot that over rewards delegators, content creators won't use it. If you delegate to a bot that upvotes embarassing content, you may drop your delegation especially if the bot comes under attack from someone opposed to this
To be completely honest I think all posts that use post promotion or bid bots of any kind whether decent and quality content or not are crossing a line. OCDB comments that a bid was received which I think is good. But I think it would be even better if bot users were told to us a tag like #bidbot or #sponsored. With a 40SBD or so push, they can afford to give up one tag in spirits of of transparency.

I hate seeing crap upvoted and I want to see better whitelists and black lists for users delegators and bots. I understand that evetually greed will destroy any system without policing. People who are well informed and on top need to act on this since they are the biggest stakeholders.

I will end by saying I do delegate a little to bots and often use a few myself.
