Hey everyone, so I recently heard about a new gambling app on Steem from another fellow Steemian, as news travels quick on our blockchain as we proved with DrugWars the last week, let's see what happens with this one. The reason I called it a "app" and not dapp though is cause the transactions don't seem to be using the Steem blockchain at all, rather you deposit Steem onto the site and play there. I'm not sure if this slot machine uses the provably fair protocol but I am going to find out!
The reason I decided to post first and check later this time around is cause they're bonus seemed to be pretty decent. Not sure how much funding they have behind their marketing and for how long this will last but according to their site:
Reminded me a bit about the Byteball Airdrop which also used reputation as a way to reward users with more Gbytes, Steem Slot Games seems to be doing their bonuses this way as well. Kinda cool!
Anyway, while I am an advisor for being careful with your money especially when you're not sure who is behind the apps, I figured the odds of losing out on this bonus are very low. I used chrome on my laptop. Tried refreshing a few times but didn't try much more than that. It did seem to work anyways tho so I just let it spin on 😄

Yeah I just replied to the comment above with the specs. Nothing out of the ordinary. I mean I wasn't trying to bug it or anything. The slots just never appeared. Let me know if you find out what it was :)

To make things clear as a lot of confusion is going on in DM's, both the referrer and referee get 16 Steem depending on the reputation of the new user that plays 100x 0.1 Steem bets. At reputation 60-69 you will get 8 Steem.
The Steem you're playing with is unaffected.

What mass adoption? This is precisely the same thing every other chain has been doing wayyyyyyy before Steem. Fill it with gambling dapps.
None other blockchain has got it implemented as steem right now. No one has steem connect, almost no one has got it so fast. There is almost none slot on other blockchains and as I saw there was one attempt on EOS and they disapear.
Steem is unique, special and we hope it will be great soon.
While that's true, we all know how the market doesn't seem to care about that as much. Just take a look at Tron, for example. EOS is another.

Its because we are based on experimental mining protocols, greater entities are still afraid we can colapse or our mining nodes will cheat. Just after greater entities will trust our mining protocol things will drastically change.

Way too many gambling apps already. We need more things like Heroes of Might and Magic, or Command and Conquer. Those types of games are worth dropping Steem into.
The first serious strategy game that comes out is going to be rolling in Steem.

Gambling is all over blockchain now you can use your steem to play around, but I really prefer drugwar, very complex but once you understand it then becomes simple and you can make a cool steem only depends on wat you production per day.

I also like drugwars, its an interesting approach where people play in game where in the end they fight for steem pool they contribute to, amazing idea.
Yes, you are right sir, but someone just need to invest in the game and enjoy more steem but one thing about the drugwar is that even if you don't invest you can still win a very little steem into your acount, but sir hope the system is not going to change has it advancing?
I am only afraid that in the future the most hardcore players will take over most of the pool, however, if developers will be cautious they can prevent it.

When your trust network has a built in currency,
gambling is the least common denominator.
It's the easiest thing to implement that is almost guaranteed to get some usage.
It's also a great way to show that these platform are immune to regulation.
How would a regulator go about shutting decentralized gambling down?
We've already had a taste of that with torrents and "stealing IP",
and that was a huge fail for the establishment.

I dropped 5 Steem in, and couldn't even get up to 100 Spins. I found winning too rare, and payouts too small.
If they want people engaged, they need to take our money slower.
Edit: Update: I spent 7 Steem getting my 100 spins done, and got back 8.
