Oh wow. Nice progress.
One question, what about let's say users who have their own websites. Would in some point in the future it be possible to add the "upvote" buttons outside of Steemit while users who are logged in could still click on the vote button and it would go through? That would be amazing if it would work like that, for adoption at least.
Yes, thats what they are working on now. The ability to vote and comment on your own site and not on Steemits.
Oh great! This is golden! :D
It might be a while before interacting from the 3rd party sites is available though - it's turning out to be a community effort. To keep people's accounts/keys safe, it all has to be done right, and likely through a collaboration of multiple different services for the blockchain.
I could add a really crappy version that asks for your posting key and lets you vote - but that feels somewhat irresponsible. I don't want to encourage anyone to post their keys where they don't feel comfortable.
I've been working on a third part authentification layer called "Steem Connect". That could be integrated in minute to Reprint and Steem user will be able to interact with content.
Was just going to mention @fabien solution.
That's a feature I've been waiting to see. Nice to see it can actually be implemented and someone is working on it. My thanks to everyone involved!
